Dr. Josefa Rangel

Josefa Rangel, MD

Dr. Rangel is a board-certified internist and fellowship-trained integrative medicine specialist. She received her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine; completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco; and undertook fellowships at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, and Medical Advocacy. She currently apprentices with medicine women from her ancestral homeland of México and Peru.

Dr. Rangel has practiced integrative medicine since 2005. Seeing patients struggle in the conventional and alternative medical systems and her own deep resonance with the body’s innate capacity to heal led her to establish the Innate Medicine Clinic in 2014 in Mill Valley, California. Her office is currently located next to the beautiful Sausalito Harbor. She honors the original Coastal Miwok stewards of these lands and wrestles with the complexity of the unacknowledged genocide and land disposession and her complicity as a racialized settler.
