Josefa’s Story

I knew I wanted to be a medical doctor since the tender age of 4. I followed this calling and though my path has taken many twists and turns, I returned again and again to my own truth and deep knowing of the body’s innate capacity to heal. From this wisdom, I am delighted to bring into wider consciousness a new medical paradigm, one of deep caring and listening, of gentleness, of trusting in the body. I call this paradigm Innate Medicine.

I live in San Francisco with my most amazing three daughters. I love hiking, sun gazing, oceans, and sand dollars. I am humbled daily by our interconnectedness and the capacity of the human bodymind to heal and love. I believe earth and body are one. What we do to ourselves we do to our planet. It’s a joy to accompany my patients on their own journeys of deep transformation and self-cultivation.
